Teaching Philosophy: I firmly believe that all students can achieve excellence. However, excellence will look different for each student: some will be excellent performers, others will be excellent musicologists, and a few may end up being amateur musicians. No matter their path in life, they will need the skills I aim to pass on in my classroom: critical thinking, open-mindedness, appreciation of differences, ability to express ideas and opinions, and compassion.
