My Background

I was born and raised in West Virginia, where my passion for music began early. Luckily, I’m no longer belting out Hilary Duff in the backseat of my car, but I still get the same thrill down my spine when I connect with a good piece of music. Over the course of my collegiate and professional years, I have taken every opportunity to find music from all over the world that moves and inspires me.

One of my personal causes is advocating for the performance of music that has been lost, ignored, or undervalued over the years.

My research focuses on ways to make this music more accessible to the general public through better search engine and cataloguing practices. To learn more, check out my blog for resources, fun facts, and personal anecdotes.

Choral music covers so much of our history and experiences as human beings. We owe it to ourselves to search out and perform as much as we can.
